Watergate

In June 1972, five men are arrested in Washington's Watergate building. What's looks like a third-rate burglary attempt of the Democratic National Committe induces journalists of the Washington Post to start an investigation. What they discovered was that the five men were directed by the White House to spy on political opponents. In Watergate, one player assumes the role of a Journalist, while the other embodies the Nixon Administration - each with a unique set of cards. To win, Nixon must build up enough momentum to make it to the end of the presidential term, whereas the Journalist must gather evidence to link the crime directly to the President.

  • EMBODY HISTORICAL FIGURES: Face off in a tense duel where one player assumes the role of the Nixon Administration and the other the Journalist of the Washington Post in a race for the truth.
  • AUTHENTIC INVESTIGATION COMPONENTS: Includes 1 game board, 44 specialized cards, picture tiles of historical figures, 36 evidence tokens, momentum tokens, and an initiative token.
  • GATHER EVIDENCE OR BUILD MOMENTUM: As the Journalist, gather evidence to link the crime directly to the President; as Nixon, build enough momentum to finish your term and outlast the investigation.
  • PERFECT FOR TENSE DUEL SESSIONS: Ideal for quick weekend game nights, holiday hobby sessions, or summer tabletop nights where players desire a deeply immersive historical and political challenge.
  • FOR FANS OF HISTORY AND TACTICS: A must-have for two-player game enthusiasts and history buffs; suitable for home play, university gaming clubs, or local board game cafes for a deep dive into 1972.
