William Shakespeare was smart enough to write you into your play, but he wasn't smart enough to realize that you were obviously the best character. He may have killed you off, but you finally have a chance to get your revenge by ruining the opening night of his newest production! Will you and your ghostly companions be able to destroy his reputation, or will this new show be an even bigger hit than your play?
So Many Horrid Ghosts is a one-shot game full of chaos and comedy where Lady Macbeth, Mercutio, Ophelia, and more unite under a shared goal: get revenge on the playwright who had the nerve to kill them off. It will require one Game Master and three to five players who take on the roles of the dead characters. It is a rules-lite, narrative-heavy, low-prep game.
Inspired by Shakespeare's use of iambic pentameter, when players take an action, they roll a d10 to determine how many syllables they have to describe their dastardly plan. Be warned though, without a perfect line of 10, their intentions may be warped by the Bard himself.
The base game includes six playable characters: Ophelia, Rosencrantz/Guildenstern, Banquo, Lady Macbeth, Mercutio, and Tybalt.
