Chapters that are on worldbuilding, narrative, and quest generation can be used regardless of the system. 5th edition players should also pick up the book for its original character customization content and the profession system.
In addition to bringing you the alternate history toolbox, this book is also the first book to build on the canon lore of the series!
Starting with The City of Crescent, we are building on the world of Historica Arcanum with source books on other really interesting historical settings. With each new source book, more of history will be mapped out as the canon lore is expanded. You will also see common artifacts, factions, and foes appearing throughout the series, creating a connected narrative and making way for truly massive campaigns spanning eras and bloodlines. It all starts here, in The City of Crescent!
